Monica Ma, CFA®, CFP®, Investment Manager, has been helping clients with their investments since 2004.  She joined Blankinship & Foster, LLC in 2008 and is currently a member of the Investment Committee. 

Previously, she was with a leading wealth management firm in San Francisco.  While there, she worked closely with the chief investment officer to develop and implement firm-wide investment strategies and polices.  She also conducted manager research and provided client-specific investment recommendations.

Earlier, Monica was a Senior Consulting Associate / Team Leader for a global investment consulting firm in Menlo Park, CA.   She held the dual role of providing research and advice to the firm’s clients and managing a team of consulting associates.

She graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Arts in integrative biology.  She earned her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2007 and is licensed to use the Certified Financial Planner® and CFP® marks by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

Monica and her husband, Zhi, moved to San Diego after 8 years in the Bay Area.   They enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time with their family and dogs.
